Pineapples

The WiFi pineapple is a commercially available device that has the ability to perform man-in-the-middle attacks. Using only a computer, this device is able to create what look to be legitimate public WiFi connections that can be labeled any name. Upon connecting, every piece of information that the victims receive from or send to websites will be captured by the attacker and can be read without the victim being aware it has been copied. This can be anything from seeing what web page the victim is visiting to the username and password they use to log in to a website. To stay safe from these attacks, make sure to disable auto-connect to public WiFi connections and only connect to WiFi connections you trust. If you must connect to a public WiFi connection that you are not familiar with, do not log in to any accounts while using it.
